ODRC is the only camp to give you two top quality 1 hour lessons per day using Somerford’s amazing facilities, in paired lessons and tailored to your level of ability (declared by you)

  • Show-jumping/Grid-work
  • Flatwork 
  • PLUS: farm ride on Thursday 

When making your application for riding club camp please ensure you enter all information that is required. You MUST read through the Camp Information and Rules (link opens a new page) before completing your application.

To book camp you must be a full senior member of ODRC.

Rider & Horse Details

Do you have any health issues we should be aware of? i.e. allergies?
Enter the name, relationship to you and contact number of your emergency contact.
We can cater for some dietary requirements (but not all) – please state here and we will do our best.
Any horse health issues we need to be aware of/stable vices etc?
You will need to supply evidence to the camp organiser of a valid vaccination program for the horse you are taking to camp. Somerford require 12 month vaccination program.

You and your horse’s level of work

To create good pairings and to help ensure everyone gets the best from camp, we ask you to be honest about the level of work you wish to do at camp taking into account your normal level of capability and the level you compete at. All instructors will work to ensure you gain the most from camp in encouraging you to go beyond what you had thought possible, to do more and to be braver. However we need to get you with the right partner to ensure you get the best you can from the 4 days.
Include details about what height you are comfortable jumping and training at and whether you have regular lessons.

Additional information we need

KT Equine Photography will be able to join us again to capture your fabulous moments over the three days of lessons. Last year the cost for the full package is £30 for a CD and one 8x6 photo
Please tick which method of payment you are using. Payments for camp are via BACS, details will be given once the application hase been submitted. You will need to pay your deposit on booking.
You can bring additional Non-Riders/Grooms with you to camp, however, they must be members of ODRC (either full or social member) A fee of £95 is payable to cover meals via our event booking area – payable prior to 15/05/2022. Please be advised that COVID restrictions may prevent additional guests attending.

When you submit your application you will be directed to a payment page. There are only 31 places available, if you see nil stock it means all places have been taken. You will be placed on the reserve list. When completing the checkout process The clubs BACS details will be given and also sent to you via email. Make a BACS payment in accordance with your application selection, please use your full name as reference when making a BACS payment. Some COVID restrictions may apply we will keep you advised.
